Often, people ask me whether we can offer a “Vacation Bible School” type summer program for children in our Catholic parishes. I am very happy to share with you that the Archdiocese offers a “Catholic version” of this summer experience, and we’ve been able to schedule a week at our Sheboygan Southside parishes! Totus Tuus (Latin for “Totally Yours”) is a Catholic summer program that has been popular and successful all over the country. A team of four college students (two young men and two young women) attend an extensive training, and then travel around the Archdiocese leading programs for the summer. This year’s theme will focus on the Ten Commandments and the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary.
The day program will run from June 23-27 and is open to children entering grades 1-6. It is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. and will be held here at the Faith Formation Center (at Ss. Cyril & Methodius parish). Cost is $25, with a $50 maximum per family for the week.
There is an evening program for teens entering grades 7-12, which will run Sunday – Thursday, June 22-26, from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. Cost is $15 per teen.
