RE 1-8 Weekly Update, 4/29/2014

Posted on

Dear Religious Ed families,

Greetings in Christ! I hope you’re enjoying the Easter Season!

We have just two classes remaining in our RE year! That is hard to believe. Please keep the First Communion children in your prayers, as the next three weekends are full of First Communion celebrations at our three parishes!

This week, we will have class “as usual,” from 4:00 – 5:30. When Grades 1-5 gather at 5:15 for prayer in Church, we will have a short May crowning ceremony honoring Mary our Mother in this month of May. Next week, May 7, is also a normal class from 4:00 – 5:30.

Please remember that there is a Family Mass to close the RE year on Wednesday, May 14 at 6:00 p.m. at Ss. Cyril & Methodius. This is for families with children in grades 1 – 11, and we hope you can all attend! We’ll recognize our “graduating” 8th graders with a special gift, and there will be recognition of high school students as well. Also, we would like to acknowledge those children who have had “perfect attendance” throughout the RE year. Most of all, we’d like to pray in gratitude for the many gifts God has given us this year!

Don’t forget that the Religious Education registrations were sent home last week. Let me know if you didn’t receive one in the mail. You can also find them on the website:

God bless,
