Dear Middle School parents,
As we begin accepting registrations for 2014-2015 year for Religious Education, I’ve talked to a number of families about the change in class time for grades 6-8 and have been trying to find out how much of a difficulty this presents to families. As I’ve shared with you before, I feel it important to be fully present at both the elementary (grade 1-5) and middle school (grade 6-8) program, and have repeatedly felt the need to hold these programs at separate times.
We have been blessed to have a great EDGE team come forward this year, and we are discussing what went well this year, as well as what things we’d like to continue developing and improving for next year.
One thing I am happy to share with you is that we’ll be able to offer another option for Middle School Class times.
Students in grades 6 – 8 will be able to choose between:
Wednesdays, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Sundays, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
– All classes will take place at the Faith Formation Center (SSCM school building).
– Students will generally enroll in either Wednesday or Sunday program (can’t choose between each night week to week)
– Class times coincide with high school programs to help aid in transportation.
– Those who have already enrolled will be contacted to see if they prefer the Sunday option.
I will not be re-printing the Registration Form. Rather, please write on the form if you prefer the Sunday Middle School option. If you need another copy of the form, they can be printed from the website.

Let the risen Jesus enter your life, welcome him as a friend, with trust: he is life! If up till now you have kept him at a distance, step forward. He will receive you with open arms. If you have been indifferent, take a risk: you won’t be disappointed. If following him seems difficult, don’t be afraid, trust him, be confident that he is close to you, he is with you and he will give you the peace you are looking for and the strength to live as he would have you do. ~Pope Francis, Easter homily 2014
